On Tuesday one of our four London 2012 ambassadors, Keri-anne Payne,
attended her media day and it was a great success. She looked fantastic wearing her Entwine pendant and accessorising her support with her Team GB band, all from our Official Jewellery Collection for London 2012. Keri-anne had a busy but successful day talking to varied publications and broadcasters. There was much to discuss since she took to the Serpentine on the 9th August, where she came fourth in the grueling 10km open water swim at London 2012, swimming an exceptionally close and hard fought race, to finish less than half a second behind Italian Martina Grimaldi.
Keri-anne began her day with an interview with Brides Magazine and Sports Magazine, she then headed to the CNN studios for a live television interview, before speaking with Women’s Health and finishing in the Sky News studios for live interviews with both Sky News and Sky Sports.
Take a look at the picture of Keri-anne on set at CNN and a few images of some of her favourite pieces she wore from our London 2012 collection:

One of the most hotly anticipated events for London 2012 is the 10k marathon open water swim at The Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park today. Our London 2012 ambassador Keri-anne Payne will take to the water as the current world champion and favourite to win gold in this event at London 2012!
Keri-anne is the athlete responsible for ensuing public and media interest in open water swimming events – in 2008 she took home silver in the Beijing Olympics and she was crowned world champion in Rome in 2009. We are
wishing Keri-anne so much luck today and can’t wait to cheer her on!
Make sure you have your Team GB Band to show Genuine Belief in our athletes at the Games this summer!
In her final moments leading up to her race, Keri-anne took time to reflect on her journey towards an Olympics in her home country in the video below:
Well done to our London 2012 ambassador Christian Malcolm for running an excellent race yesterday which saw him cross the line in 2nd place with a time of 20.59 seconds to qualify for the 200m semi-final this evening! We were all cheering him on at Links of London and will be doing the same at 20.10pm this evening!
Christian is one of the most recognised British track athletes at London 2012 – he first burst onto the scene in 1998 when he won the World Junior Championships aged 19 in just 20.44 seconds, earning himself the title of Junior Athlete of the Year. In the same year he stormed the Commonwealth Games, taking home a silver medal, as well as the European Junior and Welsh senior record. He ran at both Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008, coming fifth in both races, and in 2005 he won the European Cup! With already so much success under his belt we can’t wait to watch him race tomorrow and compete with
his team mates in the 4x100m Men’s Relay this Friday at London 2012!
We are so proud of Christian – watch his fantastic performance in the heat yesterday and look out for his Team GB band! Are you wearing one to show your Genuine Belief in Team GB? Make sure you get yours to be a part of the team!
Last Thursday one of our four London 2012 ambassadors – Sarah Storey attended her media day and it was a great success. Looking fabulous adorned in her Team GB bands, Entwine hoop silver earrings and a 2012 friendship bracelet, all from our Official Jewellery Collection for London 2012, Sarah had a busy day talking to members of the press. Sarah is due to compete in the 500m Time Trial; 3000m Individual Pursuit; Road Time Trial and Road Race at the Paralympic games this summer and so there was much to talk about at her media day.
She began her day at the Talk Sport radio studios, carried on to our Westfield Stratford store for in store interviews and ended it in the Sky Sports News studio overlooking the Olympic Park! We can’t wait to see Sarah compete at the Paralympics this summer and cheer her on throughout every race!
Take a look at some the pictures from Thursday and a selection of Sarah’s favourite pieces from our London 2012 collection:

With a month to go until the Olympics begin and with Christian Malcolm, one of our London 2012 ambassadors, running a fantastic race in Birmingham last Sunday to qualify for his fourth Olympics it is a perfect time to share his Circle of 5. A couple of months ago we launched our Circle of 5 Campaign which suggests we rely on a core group of 5 people to be successful. Our four London 2012 ambassadors, Keri-Anne Payne, Christian Malcolm, Tom Aggar and Sarah Storey, have been taking time to share their Circle of 5.
In his video Christian thanks his family and friends who he describes
as his “backbone” supporting him in achieving his past and on-going success. To
highlight this and reward his Circle of 5 Christian gifted each one a Links of
London Team GB Band – our hero piece from our Official Jewellery Collection of
London 2012. As the games near share your core 5 with us on twitter – #circleof5 and recognise and reward them with the Team GB Band! One month to go and we are behind our London 2012 ambassadors and all of Team GB every step of the way!
