How I’m Wearing Links of London – Christmas Party!

This week we had our Christmas party, and what a festively fun time we all had! See how the staff accessorised their outfits with Links of London jewellery in the photos below.

Charlotte teamed her very on trend velvet dress with our Infinity Knot Necklace and Effervescence Star bracelets. The long chunky necklace was the feature of Charlotte’s look, with each of the entwined links catching the light.

We absolutely love Kathryn’s red dress, and the touch of leopard print on the clutch bag. Our Effervescence Big Bubble Pendant is the perfect addition to this simple, yet very chic outfit.

Phil looked great in his grey and brown suit mix! Our Sidescape watch and Movember cufflinks were a classy addition, with the cufflinks bringing some fun to his outfit.

Belinda’s Effervescence Pearl bracelets are the perfect jewellery addition for her navy lace skater dress and Miu Miu inspired glitter heels.

Movember Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea and Cocktails!

Last Thursday, we made our way over to Bourne &
Hollingsworth
, the floral wallpapered cocktail bar on Rathbone Place for the
Movember Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea & Cocktails event. An intimate group of
men’s stylists, style ambassadors and designers came to enjoy cocktails in tea
cups and a tea tasting master class from the brilliant TeaSmith. Bourne &
Hollingsworth was the perfect setting for our civilised afternoon; with its
vintage feel and dim lighting the Gentlemen were able to enjoy their
cocktails and tea in a cosy atmosphere.

Support for Movember was in full swing with moustaches
aplenty, some more bushy than others! We had the pleasure of the
Movember gentlemen coming along to speak to the guests about the importance of the charity and how they can help raise awareness for men’s health issues and prostate cancer.

Check out the photos below to see all the action!

FEED for Links of London collection launches in the US

Last week we celebrated the launch of our FEED for Links of London collection in the US with FEED projects founder Lauren Bush at an exclusive blogger event at our Soho boutique.

New York’s fashion blogging elite were out in force and were able to get a first look at the collection we have designed with FEED to help various hunger projects around the world.

Lauren Bush was on hand to explain how each bracelet has a silver emblem representing a different intervention in the fight against hunger in areas of conflict, natural disaster and areas with a high HIV/Aids rate.

The UK launch took place on the 10th November and the full range is available to buy in all Links of London stores in the UK and US as well as on our website.

A gold heart design is exclusive to Harrods in the UK and a gold leaf design is exclusive to Holt Renfrew in Canada.

These cute cord bracelets are perfect for Christmas, gorgeous jewellery that also gives back and does some good!

FEED for Links of London Press Launch at Harrods hosted by Lauren Bush

Early yesterday morning we hosted a breakfast in Harrod’s new Juice Bar with Lauren Bush to launch our FEED for Links of London collection.  As Co-Founder and CEO of FEED, the non profit accessories brand that is fighting to reduce hunger worldwide,  Lauren has a very busy schedule but flew over from the US especially to present the range and conduct interviews with the press.

The Juice Bar’s black and white geometric tiled floors and white leather seats with bubblegum coloured piping was a fun setting to display the colourful woven bracelets that make up the collection.  Stacked pastel-coloured wooden crates filled to the brim with white hydrangeas acted as plinths with the bracelets nestled in the petals on top.

Lauren gave a short talk to introduce the collaboration and explained how this collection will help FEED’s mission.

The collaboration launches mid-November and features 5 colourful woven bracelets each with a silver bead in the shape of a different motif that represents a different intervention in the fight against world hunger.  FEED work with The World Food Programme and the sale of these bracelets will provide school meals and food for children in areas of natural disaster, areas of war & conflict and areas with a high HIV/Aids rate.  Providing school meals to children in developing countries helps keep them in school, encouraging their education as well as providing them with the vital nourishment they are lacking.

The press were captured by the stories behind each design and we feel we have achieved the aim of both brands: to create desirable jewellery with a conscience.  FEED’s mission statement is “To create good products that help FEED the world” and we are proud to have partnered with them.

The 5 silver designs will be available in all of our stores and on our website for £75.  Each bracelet is engraved with the number of meals it will provide and is a visible reminder of your donation.  This process of building a set donation into each product is something FEED have done ever since the creation of their first bag.  The silver waterdrop bracelet helps by providing 500 litres of clean drinking water for one child.

An 18ct gold heart design will be available exclusively to Harrods.  At £395 it will provide 250 meals to children in areas with a high HIV/Aids rate.

An 18ct gold leaf design will be exclusive to Holts in Canada.

The illustrations at the event and on the invitation were drawn by Margot Bowman and denoted the emblems on the bracelets as cute characters holding hands.

The bracelets are collectable and look great stacked together.  We are adding the whole range to our Christmas wishlist as well as buying them for all our family and friends.  The perfect gift that not only looks great but does some good as well.

BT British Olympic Ball 2011

On Friday 7th October the BT British Olympic Ball came to Kensington Olympia, London. Olympic champions, Team GB Medal contenders and celebrated stars from the world of sport and entertainment got together for the occasion. The evening was a huge success with event hosts and MC’s such as Stephen Fry, comedian Miranda Hart & impressionist Rory Bremner, and entertainment provided by Sir Tom Jones, Dappy and Tinchy Stryder. The BOA and Team GB are independently and privately funded, therefore the annual ball plays a huge part in supporting them. Links of London were lucky enough to be a part of such an amazing evening. Check out the photos below and see who wore jewellery from our London 2012 jewellery range.
