Last night we attended the Sport Industry Awards at Battersea Evolution.
The evening celebrated and rewarded the best work carried out by those within the sports industry. It was a fantastic evening attended by many athletes, sports personalities and celebrities. Links of London were there to fly the flag for Team GB and spread the word even further about our Official Jewellery Collection of London 2012 and our must have hero piece – the Team GB Band!

We watched as the prestigious awards, such as Sport Brand of the Year, Sports Agency of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement award, were presented to the winners whilst also celebrating the year of London 2012. We were very excited to talk to the guests about our collection for the Games and delighted to spot many already sporting their Team GB Bands! It really was a night to celebrate sport and the integral part it plays in bringing not only individuals, but nations together. The more people who get behind our team this summer will enable us to have a winning chance to come together through sport and show our Genuine Belief for Team GB, our athletes and those who we personally support in our own circles.
Attendees at last night’s event were enthused and excited about the message behind our collection and were thrilled to be able to wear their Team GB Bands. Amongst the wearers last night was the host – former Rugby Union player; Martin Bayfield, Sally Gunnell – a former British Olympic champion in the 400m hurdles, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson who is considered to be one of the most successful disabled athletes in the UK, footballers; Darren Bent,
Michael Dawson and Gareth Southgate and Sir Philip Craven MBE who won the
Lifetime Achievement award. Sir Philip is the president of the International Paralympic Committee, member of the International Olympic Committee and a
retired Paralympian of wheelchair basketball. We also spotted celebrities such as Mark Wright, Kirsty Gallacher and Keith Lemon wearing Team GB Bands!
We were thrilled that Amy Williams MBE wore our limited edition Entwine VIP necklace and bracelet which are part of our Official Jewellery Collection of London 2012. It was a big day for Amy as she announced her retirement from skeleton racing following a remarkable career in which she became the first British individual gold medallist at a Winter Olympics for 30 years. We thought she dazzled in the Entwine collection last night and wish her every success for the future!
